Skyping

I got my passport this past Monday.  It’s good to have that wrapped up.  I’ve been looking into a cheap way of making international phone calls and I think I’ve found it.  Skype offers free service to anywhere in the world where there is internet connection (this includes dial up 56K) and all I would need to purchase are the headsets.  I can get both for about $40 off Amazon.  A whole lot less than international phone rates.  Skype works much better and is clearer on broadband than on dialup but it’s still a decent option at this point.  The service is free to other Skype users so I would just need to make sure my mom downloads the software onto her computer.  And of course, get her the headphones.  The charges for ‘skype to cell’ or ‘skype to phone’ are pretty much the same as a regular phone call.  But from all I’ve heard so far, it’s the real deal.  I’ll let you know how it goes!

Spaghetti and Answers

I got to meet with Dana last night before church (had some awesome spaghetti and sandwiches at Gibby’s:) and got some questions answered.  Phone calls can be as frequent as I choose even to the U.S. because we will have a phone in the room.  The fee is about $1.80/minute.  Internet access will be readily available on Ebeye and I can even have NTA install it in the house if I like.  She mentioned it’s one of the things they are wanting for the school.  We’ll see how God moves.

She gave a quick rundown of the class schedule and the grade I will probably end up having is the second graders.  The school runs from 8am to 4pm and each grade goes for half a day; except the fourth grade which is a full day.  We went over other things but I won’t bore you with the details – I’m a teacher, I like details.  I’ll spare you:)

God bless you and Praise be to God forever more!

Certificates, Thank You’s and Messes

So many things to get in order and it’s almost July!  I have a feeling this whole experience is going to teach me how to fly by the seat of my pants!  I like to know exactly what I’m doing, when I’m doing it and then prepare for it.  Help me Jesus:)  My birth certificate came in a few weeks ago and my passport should be mailed to me within the next week.  Praise God.  One step at a time she said, just one step at a time…

ThANk yOu to those who have been praying for me and supporting me!  God is moving daily to bring this complete change in course direction to fruition and your prayers are no minor force.  His soothing touch is upon me emotionally and mentally – it’s wonderful.  There is no God like our God.

Internet access may not be as easy as I originally thought on Ebeye.  But I’ll leave that to God.  Only He knows what it means to my mother, hallelu!  All I know is thank God that no matter what my daily provisions may be on any given day, I receive a daily allowance to meet them, in full with a portion that runs over and kinda spills out onto other stuff and oft times splashes on other people, but that’s okay!  I like God’s messes:)

Oh, and don’t forget to check the blog links in the side bar.  We’ve got a lot of awesome women and men of God making fierce headway into the enemies camp, shaking ground and advancing the Kingdom of God in their own unique ways, with their own powerful anointings from God.  Many blessings!
