I am here in Honolulu! My flights could not have been more comfortable and the transitions between planes more graceful. What a jourrney – I had plenty of time to talk (pray) with God and just relax. I think the toughest part was getting on that first flight out of Lexington, but God has a way of carrying us…
A Psalm comes to mind; 77:19 “Your path led through the sea, Your way through the mighty waters, though Your footprints were not seen.” (niv) But the awesome thing is, we can leave His footprints if we will only go.
I took some video but I’m unable to upload it at this time. So I took some still frames to share with you. I had great seats and for the entire 8 hour flight to Honolulu, I had a window seat and the passenger beside me didn’t show up. They had one of those satellite radars that showed the location of the jet for the duration of the flight. It was interesting to see. We were 35000 feet altitude, about 550 miles per hour and it was around -38 degrees outside the cabin (as they put it).
I also captured video as we headed out over the Pacific ocean.
And then, approximately 8 hours later…arrival in Honolulu!
But not final destination praise God! How much more awaits! But I will hopefully get a few more pictures before departing and upload them if possible. It’s about 2:21 am here. Need to sleep…and I’m wide awake:)
